Only 84 Shopping Days Before Christmas!

Just in time for Christmas, the print store is open for business! OK, maybe I’m jumping the gun a little bit, but after trying out a few different products over the past few weeks, I’ve finally found a shopping cart solution that I think works for my website, so yeah, I’m pretty excited! Now when folks ask if they can order prints directly from my website, I can say “But, of course!”.

I’ve set it up to accept payment via Paypal, which does NOT require you to have an account with Paypal or with me, by the way, or alternatively, via “Cash”, which really just means we’ll figure it out later. Cash is a good option for anyone local who wants to avoid shipping charges by meeting me in a shady bar in downtown Seattle or Issaquah – or at a nice neighborhood Starbucks – they’re pretty much everywhere.

Any image in my Image Gallery is available in a variety of sizes, either framed or unframed. Just click on the little shopping cart underneath any thumbnail image and it will take you to the product page for that image. There you can get a rough idea of what the print will look like when matted and framed, and see the various sizes and prices. You can also learn a little bit about the conservation materials I use in the matting and framing process.

Even if you’re not in the market for a framed print, I’d love it if you’d take a minute to check out this new feature and give me feedback on what you like and what you think needs improvement. After all, what’s obvious to me may not be so obvious to someone else who’s not intimately familiar with what I’m doing here.

So that’s pretty much it for this week – no stories about my grizzly bear, red fox, or ground squirrel friends this week. Frankly, I’m a little worn out from cheering on my beloved New Orleans Saints in their Monday Night Football trouncing of the Miami Dolphins tonight. But don’t worry, I’ll be back next week with another life and death adventure story!

The thought of a shady-bar purchase…including a round of Manhattans – gives the Christmas season an added allure. After all, it’s the story behind the print that we really want to indulge ourselves in.
