Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

A series of recent deaths and near deaths in my family has served as a reminder that life is short, and can take sudden and unexpected turns. I think there’s something to be said for trying to live every day to the fullest, or to live each day as if it’s your last, or however you want to put it. Just don’t waste it. “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery but today is a gift, that’s why it’s called the present.” It’s a bit cheesy, but not a bad way to look at it.

So in between all the holiday craziness, please take a moment to reflect on what’s truly important in your life. Most of you reading this truly are blessed compared to the majority of the world’s population.

Me? What’s important to me? Friends and family, of course! And chocolate! Can’t forget chocolate!
